I played my own music in NYC. Bands such as King Flux (X-Plasmatics), V.O.V., Stangelove. I would go on auditions weekly published in the Public Notice section of the Village Voice. With "V.O.V.", we played the Marquee Club, The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways, Cafe Wha and a host of other Clubs & Bar
My goal is to serve the song. Whether that is tracking, production, or mixing. The song has to stand on its own. And the artist MUST believe in it and love it. No matter the genre, no matter the content, you have to feel something when you hear it. Thats my job, to make the artist and ultimately the listener believe in the song.
