Hello, my name is Michael Candido and I'm a freelance Producer/Mixer. I started mixing in 1998 and over the years taught myself as well as sought the aid of many highly acclaimed engineers who became my mentors' over the years for their different skill sets. My approach to music is highly dependent on the material of the band and the track itself.
We are Studio '93. We are a relatively new studio in Davie, Florida. While we focus mostly on rock music, we have the tools and equipment to record and mix for all genres. We are musicians ourselves and understand the costs for recording....because of that we offer low prices to help musicians like us out.
I work for the NYU Music Technology and Music Education programs, where I research, design and teach classes on audio production. I specialize in using Ableton Live and other software to help singer-songwriters sound fresh.
Residing in Brooklyn, playing music, mixing songs and videos. I studied at the NYU Clive Davis Institute For Recorded Music and at Banff Centre For Arts and Creativity. I am a sensitive listener, a critical thinker, and a problem solver.
Besides being a freelance engineer I'm also a percussionist, I dabble on the guitar, and I like to compose. I also live with Alexis and our three dogs, cat, and fish.
