Hi I am Steve. I started off doing FOH for artists (hitting the road with DFA 1979, Alexisonfire, Ill Scarlett, Protest The Hero) while building my studio chops in between. Why have someone like me mix or produce your song? In a word: objectivity. Former co-owner of Chemical Sound Recording (Toronto) and recording artist (Papermaps), Dean Marino has been making records for over 20-years, working with countless artists as diverse as Tokyo Police Club to Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings.
I mainly work on Alternative, R&B/Hip-Hop, Retro Pop and I also love Latin music. My forte is in sound design and genre-bending utilizing my wide tase and background in music. What matters to me the most is finding the most appealing/compelling way to connect your voice to the audience.
