I am Bernard, formally known as soulecist., and I am a music producer / audio engineer based out in San Francisco. Within the past few years, I've made a small hobby into a more realistic dream career; getting attention for my production and honing in on skills most artists overlook. Amateur mix engineer, Trumpet player, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist with a diverse background in performance across musical styles, 2 years of mixing experience, 5 years of recording experience both live and in-studio, 3 years of music production experience both live and in-studio.
I make old-school house music the original way; analog synths, multitrack tape, crunchy samplers and a love for the dancefloor. Influences go way beyond house music itself, latin, dub reggae, electronic pop, disco, punk, high life, salsa, bossa nova and, of course, jazz.
