My name is Wai Ming and I am a professional sound engineer/producer .I studied Audio Engineering and graduated from Los Angeles College of Music (LACM) in April 2016. Since then, I have been based in my hometown, Kuala Lumpur and have been working with various artists in Malaysia, Singapore and the US.
I have been engaged as composer and arranger for many years, mainly in the field of orchestral jazz. Whether writing a score for a large jazz ensemble or doing an in-box project, making music is my passion.
I studied at Berklee College Of Music in 90´s. I was born in Uruguay where Brazilian and Argentinian Music is also our own roots. I had the oportunity to work with great jazz, pop, funk, folk, tango artists, so I ended up learning a lot of music styles. Plus that I have a 3/4 Japanesse Yamaha concert grand in my studio. I have played with top International musicians, including India Arie, Alicia Keys and The Idan Raichel Project, and at the 1994 Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony. I’m a session musician and specialize in a wide variety of wind instruments - Flute, Clarinet, Indian Bansuri, Irish Penny Whistle, Turkish Clarinet, Egyptian Ney Flute and Saxophone.
