Mixing & Mastering Engineers, Producers & Songwriters who worked with R-kay

Tenured but versatile mix and master engineer with a strong ear and technical skill to produce polished final products ready for consumption

My name is Gavin Nathan Dauzat, I was born in Baton Rouge Louisiana on july 3rd of 1999 i became an indie artist when i was 6 years old calling myself SlimD but only having one song "Slim Is Coming" most people didn't favor my music but in early 2012 i gave up on SlimD and came back as Mistta Purple.

I love the art of sound manipulation. It fascinates me in so many ways. I find inspiration to be contagious and I'm a firm believer that a great record is made with the help of everyone involved focusing on their strengths.

I am a musician based in Seattle WA. I play piano, Rhodes electric piano, Wurlitzer, various synthesizers, guitar and clarinet. I'm also a songwriter, mostly in downtempo electronic, but also rock, pop and jazz. My specialty is finding that perfect line to bring out the flavor of a song. If you're stuck with a bland-sounding track, give me a shout.

#1 Have you ever played your track right after the latest release by Drake or Post Malone or [fill in the blank] and it just seems like yours is... not quite as CLEAR, WARM, CRISPY , 3D, not as LOUD... and overall somehow lacking that industry RADIO READY feel?

“If you feel safe in the area you’re working in, you’re not working in the right area. Always go a little further into the water than you feel you’re capable of being in. Go a little bit out of your depth. And when you don’t feel that your feet are quite touching the bottom, you’re just about in the right place to do something exciting.”
