Hello there! My name's Carmen and I'm an artist (aka Karhys), songwriter, pianist and composer. I like writing hooks as I love a good strong melody as well as layered harmonies! I write full songs but I do love writing top-lines or lyrics only as well. I find writing over producers’ beats quite stimulating, especially hip-hop/lo-fi & r&b beats!
I'm a Berklee-educated pianist, who's played on tracks for Sony Music, Arts & Crafts, 604 Records, and others. I've scored a number of award-winning documentaries and have produced tracks for many up-and-coming artists.
I've worked closely with Kpop artists such as SEVENTEEN, ATEEZ, SHINEE, STAYC, IVE, WJSN, CHUNG HA and many more. With such experiences, you'll get your songs tuned, mixed and mastered to pro level until you're 200% satisfied with the final result.
Acoustic Guitar & Autoharp are my main instruments, leaning into folk, indie rock & country. I helped produce & self released "Builders & Horrors" which was recorded & mixed by my very talented friend Matty Green in Los Angeles. I’m currently working on music for an independent film, & releasing a collaboration EP in fall with some great friends.
