Gunnar Karel was born in Reykjavik, Iceland in 1984. He started studying music at an early age and has played a diverse range of instruments. As a composer Gunnar mainly focuses on chamber music as he finds that his music gets the attention it deserves in smaller setups.

I have played clarinet for 25 years and was trained in a top conservatory in France before earning a Doctorate in Clarinet Performance from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. I have played on stages in the USA, Europe, and Asia and recorded for Pharrell Williams and Netflix's "House of Cards" composer Jeff Beal

What did you feel when you first wrote/played/sung that tune? My priority is to capture that feeling. One of my top goals is to help you deliver what emotions you felt when writing and performing your music and translating those thoughts and emotions into an audio vision you'll be proud of.
I am a well versed creative spark. From hundreds of songs written with any genre at hand, to being a student of beat producing, becoming an instrument enthusiast and writing poetry for those in need, I’d say my soul was made for musical/lyrical art. A unique standpoint of mine is versatility, and the ability to adapt/learn fast. Grow with me!
