Carlos is an established musician, engineer, and producer based out of Los Angeles, CA. Ramirez works with Short Hour on projects such as “Stranger Things Season 3,” National Geographic’s, “Valley of the Boom,” HBO’s “Native Son” and more. In 2019, Ramirez was nominated for a 2020 CAS award for Score Mixer on “Stranger Things 3: Chapter Eight.
I sing in 4 languages and am learning 2 more. English, Spanish, French, Haitian Creole. My Italian and Russian needs work but is doable. I am a semi finalist on NBC The Voice S.15. I have worked with many producers globally, as of recent South Africa, London, Haiti and Sweden. I love writing ballads and songs to make you dance!
Versed in jazz, r&b and improv/electronic/progressive styles, I work in many genres and delivery formats. I've studied the masters of studio bass from the 70s onward, and I can provide everything from the "Steely Dan" bass sound to avant approaches. I'm a quick study, good reader and can develop unique bass lines for your project.
