My name is Katie Garringer Martins, and I play the oboe. I have a masters degree in Oboe Performance from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. I have performed with members of Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble, was previously a freelance oboist in NYC before I moved upstate to teach oboe at Hamilton College and freelance.

Played/toured/recorded with Regina Spektor, Lauryn Hill, Yo-Yo Ma, John Zorn, Moby and countless others. I've appeared on well over a hundred albums and sound tracks. I play drum set and a wide array of hand percussion (frame drums, pandeiro...).
Along with my friend and section partner, trumpeter Julio Diaz, we've played on and arranged horn sessions for hundreds of artists. We've played countless live shows together and sound like a real section (not just whoever was available that day). Our credits cover the best of pop, latin, country, americana, blues, and christian recording artists.
Ljova has recorded with Yo-Yo Ma & The Silkroad Ensemble, arranged for The Kronos Quartet, Natalia Lafourcade, Alondra de la Parra, Gustavo Santaolalla, has released ten albums, penned dozens of film scores and more. Convenient Manhattan studio or mobile worldwide.
Classically trained cellist for over 20yrs, studied at Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Berklee College of Music. Played with Yo-Yo Ma on several occasions by invitation. 5yrs+ experience working as a session player at Berklee working with student film score composers.
Cello Multi-Tracking in a Professional Studio Performed/recorded by Juilliard-educated cellist and sound engineer with 15 years of live international touring and studio experience.
2x Latin Grammy Winner. 20+ years of experience. 15+ years as an audio professor. I stand out for my ability to work in the post production of different musical genres.
