Micah Jude on SoundBetter

Pro Tools Certified, Argentine mixing engineer specializing in pop, alternative rock, and electronic music.

I grew up in Argentina. This influenced my music a lot and made rhythm, "feel", and melody really important to me. I have learned as many instruments as I could since the age of 7 (including bass, guitar, ukulele, piano, synthesizers, drums, various percussive instruments, singing etc), which I'd like to think helps me make more "sound" musical decisions (...see what I did there?). I have worked as a gigging musician, studio engineer intern, producer, artist, and now get to put everything I have learned into being the best producer and audio engineer I can be. On a side note, I am also Pro Tools Certified by Avid and have taken classes with Berklee College of Music online

I have had the privilege of working with super talented people who's music has reached hundreds of thousands of listeners around the world!

I'd love to connect with you about your project to see how I can help.

Send me a note through the contact button above.

I work with Micah on a regular basis both in person and remotely. He does a fantastic job in all aspects of recording, editing, and mixing. Micah is also a very talented musician and provides an expertise in that area as well. Any artist should consider working with him if they want quality work done.

Interview with Micah Jude

  1. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  2. A: Epic popping drums and polished, full-bodied vocals

  3. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  4. A: I converted the 2nd story loft in our home into my project studio space. It's stuffed to the brim with random music making gear and gadgets I've collected over the years

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: I have worked on a lot of songs that mix pop with other genres. The main combinations being pop/electronic, pop/rock, and latin pop.

  7. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  8. A: Jaycen Joshua, Fab Dupont, Mick Guzauski, Coldplay, Phil Collins, Juan Luis Guerra, Juanes

  9. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  10. A: Primarily mixing. However, I find myself more and more doing the mastering as well.

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: I would say "polished" and "tight". Working with complex songs has taught me to really make every instrument sound amazing on it's own, but even better when played back with the song.

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: Coldplay - Having the luxury of working on an amazing works of art melodically and energetically inspires me! Also to be challenged with productions that have larger than life synths, huge guitars, and electronic elements all thrown together would be incredible! Phil Collins - two words...Thunder Toms

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: I'd like to think that I bring a Latin spark of energy to my mixes, especially when it comes to vocals. I began my musical journey playing drums at 7 years old, later adding piano, guitar, bass, etc and eventually synthesizers so I am always thinking of rhythm and melody as well.

  17. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  18. A: Always make sure the vocal as genuine and as powerful as possible. A weak vocal performance is the biggest thing that can kill an otherwise amazing song.
