Hi, I’m Katsuyuki Kobayashi — a Tokyo-born mixing & mastering engineer with over 20 years of experience in the Japanese music industry.
I’ve worked on 150+ songs a year, collaborating with top-tier artists including ELLEGARDEN, STANCE PUNKS, Nothing’s Carved In Stone, and PAM. I specialize in J-Pop, Rock, City Pop, and Lo-Fi, blending analog warmth with modern clarity to create emotionally impactful sound.
I began my career at a major commercial studio, later joining renowned producer's studio, and eventually worked with the team behind GROWING UP records. I’m passionate about crafting mixes that preserve the soul of the performance — whether it's raw energy from a rock band or the soft nuance of a pop vocal.
