ARIA Award winning Producer and mixer with multiple No.1's, Gold and Platinum sales.

Remote Mixing and Song Salvage
From indie pop and post punk to soul revival there is a trademark authenticity that underpins Steven Schram’s mixing and production style.

Avoiding sterile, overly refined production techniques in favour of capturing an artist’s true essence, Steven has been behind an impressive list of releases including Paul Kelly’s first number one album Life is Fine, for which he won the 2017 ARIA Award for Engineer of the Year. He has also been at the production helm of other Paul Kelly albums in recent years, most notably 2018’s Nature which also debuted at Number 1 on the ARIA charts, as well as The Merri Soul Sessions and Seven Sonnets and a Song.

Steven has been a major contributor to the creative output of indie band San Cisco, having Produced and co-written all of their albums to date, all of which placed in the ARIA top 20, with 8 Triplej Hottest 100 entries and Gracetown reaching number 2 in the charts.

Steven’s mixing prowess sees him in high demand, seeing him team up with Mojo Juju, Darren Middleton, I Know Leopard, Kate Miller-Heidke, Mildlife, Sayah, Hey Geronimo, Calling All Cars, Halcyon Drive, Tigertown, Tiny Little Houses, Little Red, The Cat Empire and Tinpan Orange.

Having recently settled in the Byron Bay region, Steven still regularly travels across the country to work with an eclectic array of artists.

Endorse Steven Schram

Heading into my first solo venture, I set out to work with a producer who had a great ear for music and could help me guide the tracks to where they needed to be.

What I got working with Steven Schram was a whole lot more.

His ethos when approaching recording is unique and absolutely liberating. The lessons I learned in the seven days in the studio were invaluable and the end result was an album I am incredibly proud of. Schram brings the absolute best out of the people he works with.

Above all else, he is a genuinely great bloke with an incredible passion for his work.

Schram is with out a doubt one of Australia's finest Engineers/Producers/Mixers. Schram has mixed my next single and to say it came back sounding amazing would be doing his work an injustice. He took the rough mix and raw tracks and turned them into something that not only sounds and feels incredible, but also has heart. Schram does more than make your record sound good, he takes your vision further. I highly recommend working with Scrham if you get the opportunity.

Schramy is one of the most versatile, reliable engineers we have worked with. Steve's diverse skillset has allowed us to explore different genres and develop our music with each new release. He is particularly patient, and a breeze to work with. Highly recommended.

Schram is an extremely creative producer and excellent engineer. A great ear for pop music. Would recommend for any artists wanting to push themselves beyond what they know they are capable of.
