Lucas surpassed expectations, delivering a great production with a quick turnaround. Deliverables were well organized. Sent me a weird post about salami lids, too. Has a beard and can play piano. Is fluent with programs such as Microsoft Word and Pro Tools. Has dark hair and a mangled spine. Is both a cat and dog person. Overall I would recommend Lucas to a friend, either as a producer or a potential love interest. Aha but seriously folks, you can't find a dude like Lucas on something like Fiver

Lucas is truly one of a kind. Not only is he extremely talented but working with him is an absolute dream. He listened to everything I imagined my song sounding like in a perfect world and somehow made it even better. His creativity and acute attention to detail took him above and beyond. Not only is Lucas a great engineer and talented musician, but he’s an awesome guy! He’ll make your song(s) sound pretty while also being super friendly and responsive. I have nothing but good things to say about him!
Lucas is one of the best engineers and producers I know. His work always sounds incredible, and he is great to collaborate with! His band daisybones was gracious enough to lend their time to my thesis in college, and Lucas and I worked together to co-master a song of theirs for release. I would work with him again in a heartbeat and would encourage others to do the same.
He was, additionally, a pleasure to have in class.
L.ucas is a super talented and very professional engineer/producer/artist. He listens to what the artist wants and also can give amazing feedback as well. He makes the whole process a great experience and I highly recommend him for any services you need !
Interview with Lucas DeLisle
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Zach Bloomstein. His masters are killer.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You will always be getting my finest work.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Plugin's aren't magic tricks. They're tools! You shouldn't 'rely' on a plugin for anything. YOU should be the magic behind the song!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Originality, and a blend of genres. I produce in Pop, Hip Hop, and Electronic, but also play in an indie rock band. My head is in a few different musical places every week!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run a home studio with an Apollo Twin and a set of Kali Audio LP6 monitors. My mixing is all in the box, using a faderport for most automation, keeping the sessions quick and the cost low. I use Ableton Live and Protools 2019 for production and mixing.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: digital, I need to stay mobile.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't ever feel like you're asking too many questions!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started producing in Mixcraft 5 when I was a young teen. From there, I moved into Reason 5 and then Ableton Live. After Highschool, I studied Recording at UMass Lowell where I spent a lot of time training my ears and applying it to my electronic production! Now I work at a recording studio near Boston MA, and Record/Mix/Produce Hip-Hop projects out of my house.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Mac Miller for his musicianship, Anderson Paak for his groove. My studio mentors Sean McLaughlin and Zach Bloomstein for their work ethic and consistently great quality.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Typically in sessions I am the recording and mixing engineer, as well as vocal engineer. I also do production sessions based off of demos, riffs, ideas, and references.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love when people get excited. If someone leaves with a blasé attitude I will certainly take that as "I did not do my job well."
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on a solo project as "l.ucas" and also producing, mixing, and writing with a group of artists in Boston called JUNTO. We have been working together and with artists outside of the group for almost a year now, and we can't wait to share the music.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Apollo, My thunderbolt cable, my laptop charger, my laptop, my iLok
