Released music on Spinnin', Axtone, Universal Music, Island UK, Musical Freedom, Heldeep, and more. Specializing in Production, Mixing and Mastering. I'm based in Milan, Italy.
With over a decade in the music industry as a producer and engineer, my tracks have reached millions of streams worldwide. Under the name DELAYERS, I’ve released music on top labels like Island Rec UK, Universal, Spinnin’, Axtone, Confession, Hysteria, Cr2 and more.
Since 2018 I’ve been working behind the scenes as a ghost producer, add-producer and mix engineer for DJs in the dance/club scene, collaborating with Tiësto, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Don Diablo, Breathe Carolina, Mr. Belt & Wezol, Tony Romera, Matt Nash and others. My music has been played at Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival, supported live by Diplo, Axwell and Martin Garrix. One highlight: my track “Ass Down” with DELAYERS was featured on Netflix’s Turn Up Charlie.
I’ve also worked with global brands such as Dsquared2, Moncler, Technogym, Puma, Ferrari and Givenchy, creating innovative sound design for their campaigns.
When reaching out, please share project goals, style references, deadlines and budget. I don’t take unpaid collabs or projects outside my field (e.g. rock/classical).

This is my second project that I have worked on with Federico, and it has again been a fantastic process.
His attention to detail, ability to bring a song to life and make it ready for release, and his willingness to listen to your creative vision and deliver on that each and every time is a testament to how good he is!
I am confident we will continue to work together, and if you're reading this- trust me, Federico is the guy you need for your next song!
Interview with Federico Bombini
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I recently had the incredible opportunity to be part of Jamis' electrifying new single "Dumb," released on Helix/Ultra! We kicked off the production journey in Stockholm, where the magic started, and then I took it to the next level by mixing and mastering the track in my Milan studio. The energy and creativity that flowed through this project were absolutely exhilarating!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Some of my clients have worked with many different singers or songwriters.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both analog and digital have their merits. Analog offers warmth and richness, while digital provides precision and flexibility. I love blending both (if I have the opportunity) to harness the best of each, creating a unique sound that's rich in character and detail.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To deliver exceptional, innovative sound that captures the essence of their vision. I commit to pushing creative boundaries, ensuring high-quality production, and crafting unique audio experiences that resonate and leave a lasting impact!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work with EDM, House, Trap, Hip Hop and Pop music.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Usually, I discuss with the client regarding the final objective, whether it's production, mixing, or mastering. If it's a production, I usually start building the idea from either the break or the chorus/drop. If it's mixing, I always begin with organizing the project and balancing the elements. Once a first draft is completed, I always send it to the client for initial feedback. Upon receiving approval, I proceed to finalize the track and send the finished work as soon as possible.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working with various artists across different genres, which constantly fuels my creativity and allows me to experiment with unconventional elements. Recently, I've ventured into the world of sound design for fashion videos and have had the privilege of collaborating with renowned global brands such as Moncler, Armani, Dsquared2, and more.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There are so many, but some of them are: DUALIPA, Charlie Puth ,Billie Eilish, Kaytranada, Post Malone, Drake, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, One Republic, James Blake.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm really talented to give energy to a track, that is my best skill.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: What I look for most of the time it's a kind of friendship relation with the clients, just to know each other better and then I can work easier on the commissions
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Help young artists develop their style, grow their talent, and successfully navigate the music business.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: "How can i reach this amount of plays on Spotify?" or "Can you help me to sign on a major?"
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Sometimes artists are hesitant to share their work or intimidated by professional studios. Additionally, they may be uncertain about the costs involved in their projects.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do your productions sounds and represent really what you want to explain?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: - Macbook - Headphones - Apollo - Focal - Audioscope
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been doing this for 15 years now, where most of the time I did music only for our project (Delayers) and we traveled around the world performing in EDM clubs and festivals.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Do not focus to much on what is the trend/wave of the moment, because you are already late if you what to produce that.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't be shy and try to explain and transfer to me how you see your music
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Multifaceted
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can give what the client needs, it could be any tipe of direction or emotion.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I love work in a home studio for productions. When I'm nearing the end of the work, I rely on a studio in downtown Milan to finalize the track, including mixing and mastering
