Spotify Secret Genius Studio Resident. Professional producer and songwriter, working out of her London-based studio, while also engineering at a number of professional studios (Red Bull Studios, Metropolis Studios).

Sophie Ackroyd is a London-based songwriter-producer specialising in pop. Her quirky, minimal production style is combined with heartfelt, hook-filled lyric writing and clean, catchy melodies.

The young producer began her musical career shortly after graduating from Oxford University in English Literature, and although there were many doors open to her for other career-paths, writing and producing music always took the lead. Sophie began working at Battersea Park Studios (formerly known as Sphere Studios) where she worked under the close mentorship of some of the industry’s top award-winning songwriters & producers.

Today, Sophie’s studio is based at Nu Boyana in South London, while also finding time to engineer at a number of professional studios, including Red Bull Studios and Metropolis. Equally at home toplining as she is producing, she is continuously working with some of the industry’s most up-and-coming artists and writers. Passionate about artist development, Sophie has worked with artists from around the globe across many genres ranging from country to electronic pop and can adapt to any style as a versatile and inventive songwriter-producer.
