I offer: - The perspective of a pro who has credits on records by Lamb of God, Fall Out Boy, Clutch, Gym Class Heroes, Every Time I Die, Gym Class Heroes, Suicide Silence and more - A person-centered approach - Revisions until you’re 100% happy with the track - Replacement in case of loss - A free preliminary phone call to discuss the project.
Mastering is the final commitment in the record-making process, and I have a very musical,
creative approach to it. My name is on some of the definitive metal and rock releases of the
last 25 years, as producer and engineer, so I know how to connect with artists and make
tracks that exceed expectations. Through my experience of releasing so much commercial
music, I strongly feel that a louder, denser master is very important. The key is having the
skill to do that without ruining the integrity of the mix.
My expertise is more than just technical. In my studios, I’ve got the equipment and plugins
that will achieve state-of-the-art masters, but my favorite part of the process is the
relationship with the people I work for. I get a thrill from helping to inspire their creative
vision. Ask me anything, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a beginner.
I offer a free 15-minute creative chat before you book, where I’ll hear the track and assess
where it’s at. The advantage is that you’re on the phone to a veteran guy and if you’re just
starting out, I’m happy to talk you through it. I have an organic approach to mastering and
always communicate my process and make it transparent from start to finish.
Turnaround is usually 48 hours or less. We do revisions till you’re 100%, and in case of loss
– no matter how long afterward - I’ll provide a new copy. I’ve got your back!

Machine (The Producer) produced an amazing master right out of the gate. Very communicative during the whole process and there were no revisions necessary after the first try. I was really pleased how well the master sounded and stood up on all my systems. Experience shows. Will hire again for sure

Stoked to have Machine master my track, raw, not overly compressed, loud, and retains good detail!

Machine is epic! Very down to earth and generous with his time. Plus, his back catalog for production, mixing, and mastering is killer. If you were a rocker/metalhead from 1996 - 2012, you'll find a lot of gems that he's worked on. He's on this site as a mastering engineer, but he's capable, competent, and experienced in the entire music production lifecycle (i.e., song writing through mastering, and every phase in between). Would I recommend him to a friend? Hell yes!

It was such a joy working with, Machine. A true professional in every sense of the word. I didn't have to provide much of an explanation as to what I was looking for in the master. I submitted my song, and he got right to it, only to turn over an amazing piece of work moments later. Machine provided 3 key things throughout this whole experience - affordable rates (let's not forget that he's a Grammy nominated engineer), amazing customer service, and top-tier excellence in his respective field.

Machine did an amazing master to my track, which I mixed for the first time ever. Also, throughout the mixing process, Machine was so helpful, patient, and super encouraging of my music and pushing me to learn how to mix. He is one of the most genuine person's here and really wants the best for your music. A seasoned professional and a motivating person to work with as well. I highly recommend him!!! :)

Interview with Machine (The Producer)
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I’m going to work on this till you’re 100% in love with it.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the connection to people. I use my talents to enhance their creativity and enjoy the connection as they share in the process.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: It’s truly not a process of fixing a mix. There are two sides to mastering: the technical side, where things need to be industry-standard with the right metadata so you make sure you get your royalties when it goes into the world. And then there’s the creative side where you put the EQ enhancement on a mix. A lot of mastering people are too conservative to do that. I think loud masters are important: in a world where your music gets discovered in playlists, the volume makes your song stand out. People perceive louder as better. We’re in a world where music discovery is 97% playlist, and when your songs are going back to back against other tracks, volume and presence make your song shine. Some people say the volume wars don’t matter anymore, but they do.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: First and foremost, I want to know if they’re happy with their mix and it’s where it needs to be – and if they’re happy, let’s go, master. I’m not interested in taking their money super-quick.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don’t feel it’s wrong to have creative references. It’s fine to pick out a couple of songs that you’d like to emulate. I always have a reference master when I’m mastering, and if in turn, you presented me with a master you love, that’s fine. It helps you stay in your lane, maintain a clear focus and gain confidence.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I’m most known for metal, but I’ve done many other things. I started in hip hop, and EDM, rock, pop, and country are all in my wheelhouse.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I have a musical ear, and I never take it for granted.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I just finished up mixing and mastering a record for The Amity Affliction.
