If you're looking for someone to write a beautiful string arrangement, don't look any further.
Conrad is the go-to guy for anything related to strings (or orchestral music in general). In Germany, he arranges for big movies, TV series and the biggest classical music events.
His arrangements are deeply melodic, highly musical and can guide the listener through
a great range of emotions. Amazing!
If that wasn't enough, he's also a great guy, one of the most professional people I know, and a very talented piano-(and all other kinds of keyboard-)player. Go see for yourself!

Conrad is one of the most talented and gifted person I know. His arrangements as well as his playing are super tasteful and very creative. His arrangements are both unique and very emotional touching pieces of music. He‘s easily one of my favorite musicians and a professional through and through. I highly recommend him.

Interview with Conrad Oleak

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: I have studied classical compostion and piano for 5 years at the HfM Berlin ending it with a diploma and I´ve been writing for orchestra on a professional basis for nearly 20 years

  3. Q: What's your typical work process?

  4. A: If a client sends me a song to write an arrangement to I import that into my DAW and write the arrangement directly in sync to the audio file and create a demo where the client can listen to the arrangement implemented in the song so he or she can hear immediately if the arrangements fits the song or not. After the arrangement is approved I either deliver audio mixes created with my orchestral libraries that can go straight into the final mix or I write the score and parts if the client wants the arrangement to be recorded with an ensemble or orchestra.

  5. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  6. A: I arrange and produce demos in Logic with the best orchestral libraries on the market. I write my scores in Sibelius and record in Pro Tools.

  7. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  8. A: George Martin, John Metcalfe, Will Malone, Olafur Arnalds

  9. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  10. A: I write string and orchestral arrangements for album productions and live concerts
