Having trained at Abbey Road Institute in London and worked in studios around the world, Zak is at the forefront of the new generation of mix and recording engineers, ready to combine the depth of analogue gear and the power of digital processing.
Hi I’m Zak, a UK based freelance mixing and recording engineer. Currently working out of Blue Bell Hill Studios in Kent as the in-house engineer, my work has accumulated over 100 million Spotify streams. Recent clients include: J Hus, Jungle, Amy Macdonald, You Me At Six, Maverick Sabre, A$AP Rocky and Brockhampton.
At Blue Bell Hill Studios I work alongside, one of the most prolific indie rock engineers of all time, Barny Barnicott (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Sam Fender), as his mix engineer. Currently running through a hybrid set up with an SSL G series desk, I am no stranger to workflows combining analogue gear with the latest digital tools.
Other previous experience has seen me work as an assistant engineer/intern at Studios 301 in Sydney, as well as completing an advanced diploma at Abbey Road Institute in London.
I am constantly looking for exciting upcoming projects to work on, so whether you’re looking to get your latest project mixed, or you’re looking to record vocals or even a full band, please get in touch!
