Nicolas Aizinas (JACO Records) on SoundBetter

Friendly and sincere productions. Fast delivery.

I'm Nicolás Aizinas, I'm 22 years old and I am from Buenos Aires City, Argentina. I perceive myself as a young music producer, who's entering in the world of audio but already has experience. I have been a bass player for more than 10 years, and have played genres like rock, funk, jazz, hip hop, among others.
I've done a lot of works in the recording area, both in a Studio and homemade. However, I'd say that my specialty is audio editing. It is where I feel comfortable, because I think editing is more than a simple process in the audio chain. Editing is a search. A search of the sound you really wish. My work flow is based on the understanding, interpretation and and intuition that I get from the message the work transmits to me, in order to be carried on.
This year, 2021, is the one in which my first venture comes to life, and its name is JACO. A space where my aspirations will be achievements, and goals fulfilled by collaborating with friends and people with whom I find pleasant to work.
If you want to work with me, don't be afraid to let me know, I will be at your service from the very first moment.
best,
Nico.

Interview with Nicolas Aizinas (JACO Records)

  1. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  2. A: I work with Mac, and Pro Tools. This two factors i think they are so good for my workflow and makes faster it. I have essential plugins like Waves bundle, Melodyne, Ozone bundle, among others. I have JBL 305 mkII speakers.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: This year I will start at my own label, which is called JACO Producciones. I am very fond of this project because i have been working for two years to make this happen. JACO will work at many sound jobs like recording, editing, mixing, mastering, post production and sound designing.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: It depends on the sound you want to get. I am not in love with any option. But... I think that analog hardware have something that digital maybe doesn't.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: I promise, in first of all, a very good treatment. And responsibility at work and deadlines.

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: Stereo enhacement: If you feel that your stereo image is missed or sounds poor here i give you an EQ-tip for better results. You have to insert one graphic EQ in left channel, then you adjust the Frequency Gain like one in +12 dB and the next in -12 dB (with all frequencies). Once you do that, you will insert the same graphic EQ at right channel but here you have to fill the frequency gain all the values upside down. This will give more colors and life to your sound. I usually use this procedure in open space shots, choirs or crowd recordings.

  11. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  12. A: Colours, life, good presence. I think I am a pop music lover and I know many resources or tips for songs. Also I like to innovate my ears and listen to new music, new ideas. I can't stop working on an idea until it sounds as I wish (Or the customer wishes).

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: Michael Brauer, Mick Guzauski, Mark Spike Stente, Andrés Mayo, Chris Lord Alge, Nico Cotton

  15. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  16. A: Progressive Rock, Funk, Pop

  17. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  18. A: Drums, bass and synths.

  19. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  20. A: Mixing, Editing and post audio. I work with bands, singers, groups, rappers, audiovisual, etc
