Credits include releases on Universal, Spinnin', Monstercat, STMPD. Through the years, we gained extensive experience in multiple genres. We worked with artists such as Khalid, Martin Garrix, OG Maco as well as Edit Select and Antonio Ruscito for the techno/ambient scene. Besides this, we specialize in Mix/Mastering and Sound Design services.
Davide, Francesco and Mattia are 3 producers from Italy; they have been producing, mixing and mastering full time for over 8 years.
Davide (Surt) works in the techno/ambient field with releases on Planet Rhythm, Edit Select, Informa, Northallsen and Affuté under his belt. He is particularly skilled in producing huge melodic/trancey techno anthems with catchy leads and oneiric celestial soundscapes, as well as 4/4 to the floor techno tracks with strong basslines and throbbing drum patterns.
Mattia (Goja/Falling Down) works in the EDM/electronic scene. He started playing the piano at 5 and the bass guitar at 12. At 20, he founded "Goja"; through this project, he had the chance to work alongside big acts such as Martin Garrix, Khalid, Dyro and more, releasing tracks on STMPD (Martin Garrix's label), Universal Music, Monstercat, Spinnin' Records, Axtone (Axwell's label), Musical Freedom (Tiësto's label), Kannibalen Records, and Wolv (Dyro's label).
In 2020 he started to write his first album under his new project "Falling Down".
Francesco (Frank The Traveler) co-founded Goja and has been part of the project until 2018; he is now producing under his new project 'Frank The Traveler' for Pop and Hip Hop artists.

Interview with Holophonica Studios
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Mattia: my first album Francesco: a lot of beats Davide: my next ep
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mattia: edm Francesco: pop Davide: techno
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mattia: sound design Francesco: drums design Davide: ambients
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Mattia: energy Francesco: mood Davide: space
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: vocal processing, sound design, a lot of things...
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: We usually try to help other artists understanding their vision and giving feedbacks to find the most efficient way to express that idea with their music, at the end of the works we try also to help to find a "home" for their track and a good way to promote it.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: We have three pairs of speakers: Focal SM9, Adam A77X, Yamaha NS10. We also use various professional headphones (Senheiser HD660S, Beyerdynamic DT1770, Beyerdynamic DT880 PRO, Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO) as well as low budget speakers/headphones for reference. Our studio has 2 fully treated rooms. This allows us to work in parallel and deliver faster. At the moment, we prefer to work ‘in the box’ (for its flexibility and speed) rather than with external gear; however, we use top-tier software from companies like ‘Acustica Audio’, ‘Universal Audio’, ‘Slate Digital’, ‘Waves’ etc.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For mixes the first step is to prepare a clean and ordered project with the stems named and grouped properly. After that, we tend to work on the drums and the main sounds (but it really depends on the specific characteristics of the song). Once those two elements are nicely balanced, we proceed with the remaining parts. We usually do multiple rounds of mix, focusing both on single sounds and the mix as a whole. For productions we like to start with a sound design/selection session; this allows us to build the right ‘music palette’ before creating the actual song.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Sometimes analog gear gives you colors that software just can't emulate. However, most of the times (especially nowadays, considering the amount of great emulations on the market) using plugins, if well done, is more than sufficient to get the desired result. So I would say that it depends on what you are trying to achieve, but the digital world is getting better every year and I tend to prefer it for its ease of use and flexibility.
