At just 21, fob has proven to be a unique, fast-growing producer, experimenting with different sounds.

The alias of electronic DJ, music producer, songwriter, and musician Franco Olivares Benitez, fob seeks to create a bond with all his listeners generally appealing to nostalgia and mixed feelings influenced by artists such as Flume, and Porter Robinson. He is known for his indietronica-future bass style which is seen in almost every piece of his work. Born in Mexico City, Mexico Franco began producing his own music at a very young age and has proven to be a unique, fast-growing producer.
Franco is currently signed to Daxsen Music Group, he has worked with artists such as Max Vangeli, Houndtrack, Jaime Deraz, and more, as well as proving his worth as one of the most versatile, and promising producers in Mexico.
His debut album “Radiant”, which has been in the works for the past couple of years, is set to be released this year and will take us into his world, one that we are very excited to discover.
Franco describes it as a “very personal album which will give the listeners the opportunity to enter my head and invite them to explore my world”. The album is created on the basis of connecting with people through music, seeking to promote creativity and peace of mind.
There’s no question his full vision for “Radiant” is shining through in high definition, standing as a brilliant statement for new purpose.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been doing this for about 5 years now, I studied at Mexico's most prestigious electronic music school "El Bedroom", and superstar DJ Axwell's own "Axtone Academy".
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Producing and Ghost Producing, Vocal Edition, beat-making.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My debut album!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Daft Punk have been my inspiration since day one. A collab with them, and getting to know their studio tips, and secrets would be awesome!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: House, Synth Pop, Electronic
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My dedication, and ability to come up with fresh new ideas.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Fully acoustically adapted Home Studio with professional equipment. Equipped with electric guitar, condenser microphone, MIDI keyboard, launchpad, speakers, interface, open and closed-back headphones, DJ booth, and Ableton Live Suite with every waves plug-in, serum, etc.

A: Daft Punk, Axwell, Avicii
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Computer, and headphones. No more
