I'm Gianmaria Seveso and I have a lot of experience with Production, Mixing and Mastering. My credits include projects for a variety of styles and genres: from Acoustic instruments tracks, to pure electronic type of music, passion through the motion picture soundtracks.

After graduating in Sound Design at the IED University in Milan, I decided to professionally embark on this path between music and music for video content.
In fact, I deal with all audio aspects both in the music and video fields: production, mixing, mastering and audio post production on music tracks, sound design and soundtracks.
At the moment I work from home in a space where I have the best listening spot possible, the ultimate goal is to open, in the future, a professional studio able to offer these services in an even more efficient way.

Interview with Gianmaria Seveso

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: At the moment I'm in the "digital" section, but as I said in digital I also try to have an analog sound using high-end plugins. Obviously the goal for the future is to create a hybrid setup between digital and analog. Digital has made great strides, but on many things analog equipment is far superior.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been doing this job for 6 years. I first started out as a DJ then I entered the world of music production and later, after my degree, mixing and mastering became more and more important. Despite this, I also carry on all the rest of the professions in the audio field.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work mostly on electronic music (dance but not only), pop music and soundtracks. In electronic music I really like the contamination with acoustic instruments
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My work process is defined in a series of actions that I perform on the track, obviously these actions are performed in relation to the piece under analysis. So in mine there will not be a song that is the same as the other but each song requires specific choices and treatment.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: The setup of my studio is customized according to my needs which allows me to support every part of the work process. I currently use selected and high-end In The Box (ITB) components (such as Acustica Audio and Plugin Alliance) for my works.
