Gonza es un gran técnico. Muchos años de experiencia en estudios y muy dedicado en lo que hace.
Además es músico y tiene muy claro desde la pre producción de un tema musical hacia su sonido final.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Having the opportunity to be part of great music and working with artists.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: I am asked a lot for my references. Fortunately i have an spotify playlist that speaks for me

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: Editing is not part of mixing

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What are the aiming for? Did you make the track with a reference in mind? and what do you expect the listener to feel with the song?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Take a chance. I am the best alternative you can get in this platform

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Some dynamic mic, maybe a Shure SM7. A preamp like a Neve 1073. Some compressor like the 1176 or the La-2a. Can i take a SSL console? i surely take it. And my computer that have all my software that is the core of my workflow

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I started as a musician recording my band 20 years ago. Since 2007 I am doing this as a full time job.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: I try to respect the artist fingerprint and make it compete with the best music that´s out there.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: There are a lot on my bucket list. On rock i would love to work with Radiohead cause they are always innovating and Paul McCartney because he is my favorite Beatle. I Love what The Weeknd is doing and the sound

  30. A: make music from the heart and try to find your uniqueness

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I work a lot of genres, but if i have to say maybe Rock, Pop, Electronic, Urban and World Music are the top ones

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: I think years of experience working with musicians all around the world and different genres give me a wide variety of sound and the ability to empathize with the artist feeling that it´s trying to transmit.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I try to bring to the song radio quality soundwise, power to the mix and make the listener feel something. Also trying to nail what the artist had in mind when they compose it and if i can surprise them in a good way is also a plus.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I receive a multitrack from the artist and maybe a rough mix. Then i listen to the song focusing on what it´s trying to communicate to the listener. I jump into the mixing process right ahead and within a day or two have a mix version 1 for the artist to listen.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My studio is hybrid. I have some pieces of outboard gear to give the analog flavor if it´s necessary, and al the latest digital tools that are on the market.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I love to hear what is happening on the present, and i love the new audio productions. But I also grew up listening to 60s,70s, 80s and 90s music that give me a good background

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I am specialized in mixing, with almost 15 year as a full time engineer
