Wataru Sato on SoundBetter

I am a Japanese modern-classical/experimental pianist and composer,and also the leader of Gecko&Tokage Parade,which is a Japanese fusion/instrumental band.

Wataru Sato/Gecko is a pianist living in Kanagawa,Japan and born in 1990.

Under the name of Gecko, he has been creating various of works based on electronica and modern-classic music since 2010.

He shows the unique piano-solo performance influenced by minimal and modern-classic,and his melody is fluent and melancholic.

He has released four full albums in Japan, and his band set’'Gecko&Tokage Parade’’ has released 5 titles.

Now he has been studying and improving his piano under the minimal pianist Lubomyr Melnyk(Erased Tapes/Sony Music).

Finding Wataru and his band Gecko&Tokage Parade has significantly impacted my joy of music...and that is saying something. The relentless energy reminds me of a jazz band from the early 70s called Sea Level...the pianist was from the Allman Brothers - Chuck Leavelle. As good as Gecko is, when he brings in his brilliant band it is stunning. I live in Richmond VA and welcome you guys. Great food. Tom Gober
