I am a professional cellist with a passion for creativity and collaboration. I've worked with bands including Everything Everything, Slow Readers Club, Palace, Island, Cherry Ghost... I can improvise and write my own unique cello parts for your music, or read from pre-written scores, depending on your project.

I am a professional freelance cellist based in the UK, where I perform as an improviser, soloist and session musician, alongside working as an educator, facilitator and composer. I am a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where I studied cello with Emma Ferrand.

In 2016, I travelled to The Banff Centre, Canada, where I worked as a musician in residence, collaborating with other musicians from around the world and writing/recording my own music. This prompted further travels to Calgary for the Summer of 2017, where I collaborated and performed with several Canadian folk and Country music artists.

I perform/record regularly as part of the the singer/songwriter scene in Manchester. My ability to improvise and create in the moment of performance enables me to collaborate with artists of many different genres and adapt to a huge variety of playing styles. My love for improvisation and discovery through experimentation on the cello has led me to create my own original music for cello and electronics.

I have extensive experience of both in-studio session work and remote recording from my home studio and have worked across many musical genres.
