Recording Studio, Mix & Master

Our four-control room studio is built inside a beautiful UNESCO heritage building on the historical naval fortress island of Suomenlinna, right outside Helsinki centre. We provide an inspiring space in peaceful surroundings for you to create your art - and we also have great gear and skilled and intuitive staff to help you get there.

Suomenlinnan Studio is a recording studio located on Suomenlinna Island in front of Helsinki. We boast four control rooms kitted to different needs – whether it’s tracking live bands, mixing and mastering your record, music production, writing songs or sound design, we have a space for you.

Our studios are housed within a stone-arched-roof building, built in the early 19th century. The island has it’s own peaceful and laid back atmosphere and the control-room view of the sea with Helsinki centre behind it makes it easy and enjoyable to keep your focus where it needs to be – on the music.

We've had quite an interesting mix of artists and producers work at our studio or have their work mixed / mastered here. They include Elvis Costello, ALMA, Sylvia Massy, Paula Temple, The National, Walshy Fire (Major Lazer), Avatar, Mavi Phoenix, Ryan D'Herde, Damian Marley, Cocoa Tea, Jesse Royal, Kabaka Pyramid and many more international artists - from dancehall to electronic music, from indie rock to chart-topping pop, we're doing it. There's also several hundreds of Finnish artists, both the cutting edge of avant garde and the top50 hitters. We employ nine different producers / engineers, each of whom have their own specialty.
