Chris Sheldon is a London based mixer and producer with over 35 years of experience and many gold, silver and platinum records. Over the years Chris has produced or mixed records for the Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Therapy?, Feeder, Skunk Anansie, Prefab Sprout, The Boxer Rebellion, Nick Heyward, Bayside, Pixies and Anthrax to name but a few.
I love working on all kinds of music and have been lucky enough to have worked all over the world in some amazing studios and locations doing projects big and small. Many of the artists I have worked with have been repeat clients for years and we’ve developed both a close working relationship and a genuine friendship which is something I treasure.
I trained at London’s Utopia Studios before going freelance as an engineer and mixer and now have my own mix room in London. I’m totally used to remote mixing and will be able to offer you a quick turn around.
Mixing for me is about bringing the musicality and emotion out of the music and providing a framework to really highlight the songs potential. It makes no difference to me whether I am working with an established artist or someone just starting out, my attention to detail is the same.
If you think I can help you with mixing your project, please get in touch!

The mix sounds perfect, we really appreciated the time he took to implement our feedback.

Just a great mix overall!
Explain the kind of mix you want and you wont be disappointed.
Had a pretty rough vocal track but came out pretty damn good! The word is very 'satisfied'. - check_circleVerified
Second time working with Chris, and this time I was a much more picky client. Chris was fine with me trying a few variations and revisions, only to realise he had nailed it early on! Super pleased. Will be back.

Always a pleasure working with Chris. He really knows his stuff and mixed my song perfectly.

Chris was great, he mixed the instruments in our track beautifully, iterated on our feedback easily and quickly, overall very satisfied and will continue to with him in the future.

Absolute Pleasure, results sound amazing, communication was great, a true master of the craft, couldn't be happier :)

It was wonderful working with Chris. I needed an alternative/grunge song mixed and he nailed it on the try. He really put the icing on the cake with it. I highly recommend booking him as he will bring out the best in your song.

Chris is a true master of his craft. I worked with him on mixing my band's nine-song progressive/alternative rock album and the results could not have been better. The album sounds crisp, clear, and punchy - just as we wanted. This was the first time we had worked with a mix engineer remotely and Chris made the process very seamless, easily incorporating any mix notes we had for him. I would highly recommend working with Chris.

Chris is a fantastic mixer and his impressive CV is a testament to his skills. In addition, we appreciate the very professional and smooth collaboration. He was quick to incorporate our feedback and make the small adjustments spot on. I have never experienced such a painless mixing process before and the end result is amazing (punchy, dynamic and crisp). I give him my very best recommendations.

This was my first time working with Chris and it definitely won't be my last. He was incredibly easy and helpful to work with and did exactly what I asked and then some. He even went out of his way to help me find a drummer to play on our song since I told him I was looking for one. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone who's looking to take their production to the next level. He also had a very quick turnaround time which is always a plus.
Thanks again Chris :)

Working with Chris has been absolutely great. Chris' extensive experience shines brightly in his mixes. This is in large part due to his open communication and asking the right questions in order to understand how to get the songs to shine in their best possible light. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Chris and I look forward to our next collaboration... HIGHLY recommend!

Chris did a superbe work; he understood straight away the spirit of our music and turned it into a great mix! Thanks!
I've been lucky enough to work with Chris on a number of projects over the years, and in doing so have come to trust his ears implicitly. He's taught me a huge amount and always brings a brilliant energy and vibe to everything he does. He's fast, no-nonsense and ALWAYS delivers the goods. I really can't recommend him highly enough.
I've worked with Chris many times since the mid 1990's and he is an absolute joy to work with. His mixes always sound fresh and exciting and he has a great setup for remote mixing. He has a wonderful ability to understand exactly what a song needs, which he has honed from years of working with some incredible artists. His credits say it all. I can't recommend Chris highly enough.
Chris is no-nonsense, quick, and understands what makes a great mix. He also has a terrific track record. Anyone who can say "I mixed Everlong by the Foo Fighters" - surely one of the 1990s' greatest rock songs - has the proven skills and ears to create rock'n'roll alchemy.
Chris is a mixing legend. He has so much experience and a hugely diverse discography. The Foo Fighters album he mixed is used here in the US as a reference album for many mix engineers. It really is the perfect example of how to mix a rock album!
Tim PalmerHaving worked with him several times, I can safely say that Chris is the business. His mixing ability is, in my experience, second to none, and he has an almost intuitive sense of what a song needs and how it should sound: proof that talent, professionalism and experience are a great combination.
