Daniel G. Harmann on SoundBetter

I'm a Seattle-based composer whose track "Only Through a Glass Darkly" has crossed 400K streams, and I've scored podcasts including Sabotage and The Story Goes. I build immersive, textural soundscapes, somewhere between ambient, neo-classical, and psychedelic, that give a project emotional depth without pulling focus from the story or the voice.

I write and produce music that lives in the space between ambient, neo-classical, and experimental composition. My 2025 album Versailles explores memory, decay, and time, built as a sacred space for altered states listening, and it's currently under Grammy consideration. On the scoring side, I've composed for podcasts including the synth-driven Sabotage and The Story Goes, working closely with creators to find a sonic identity that supports the narrative rather than competing with it.

My studio is built around Logic Pro, a UA6176 channel strip, and a hardware chain that includes tape and modular gear for texture and movement. I work fast, I listen closely to what a project actually needs, and I care as much about the mix translating cleanly as I do about the emotional arc of a piece.

Open to podcast scoring, ambient and neo-classical production, and collaborations that want something more atmospheric than standard library music.
