As an Artist/Songwriter, I've been signed to Universal, Sony, BMG and Disney. I've written songs for Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Sabrina Carpenter and Lady A, to name a few. My songs have been in TV shows/movies on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, Showtime, Disney Channel & more. I won a CCMA in 2020 for Songwriter of the Year & have written several #1 songs.
Hi there! I'd love to help you make the music you envision! My main goal is to make sure you have a product that you love and that sounds A-list professional! My workflow is fun and positive and I'll communicate with you clearly and quickly. If I'm the right fit for your project as a writer or vocalist (or both!), all I need to complete the song would be a BPM, some references of what your vision is and an MP3 or WAV file to record to! I love to work in many genres from Pop to R&B to Country to Rock to EDM and Indie Pop.
My terms are that my name can not be used as a feature. I also have a standard 50/50 publishing split on all material I write with you or for you. If you're hiring me for singing only, your song must be fully written. You can hire me to write lyrics or melody or both! If you'd like to hear additional terms/conditions, just contact me!
Throughout my career, I've worked in very diverse genres of the music business and love creating all kinds of music. I was signed to a major record label (Universal Motown) and had a top 40 Billboard Pop hit. I've also worked behind the scenes as a songwriter for Britney Spears ("Rock Boy"), Celine Dion ("Soul"), Sabrina Carpenter ("Silver Nights") and Lady A's #1 Billboard and Mediabase hit "Champagne Night", among others. I write songs for film & TV too!
I can't wait to get started on your project!

Interview with Tina Parol
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: A project I am really proud of is a song called "Live Your Story", which I wrote and perform as the theme song for the Disney Princess franchise. That song has been on Disney Channel, Disney Radio and is currently in Disney on Ice productions around the world. I have received many messages from young girls and young women who told me this song empowered them or helped them get through a tough time, and that means the world to me.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently I'm writing and singing several songs for TV shows on several major networks and even one for a famous comic book franchise! I also just wrote a country song recorded by a major label country artist and sang backgrounds on that song.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes! My friend Denny White is an amazing topliner and singer (and human). My friend Brandon Ray is amazing too!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital! Nothing beats efficiency, am I right?
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise to clients is that I will work on your project with all my heart and get it done in our mutually agreed upon timeline. I will do everything in my power to ensure you love the end product.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love being creative for a living and realizing what I've been hearing in my head, into a song. It never gets old.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: "What is your budget?"- I will always try my best to make something work!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I think the biggest misconception about what I do is that it's always easy: sometimes a song flows out fast, sometimes a song takes a lot of time to get right!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask prospective clients what their end goal is and what their timeframe is, so I can be sure to deliver the song or vocals (or both!) on time! I also love knowing who you want the vocals to embody or be inspired by. That way, I can tune into your inspirations and get into a groove before I begin writing or recording.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: My advice is to email or speak with who you want to hire and ensure you feel a good vibe off them. I aim to make all my clients happy and comfortable with the entire creative process.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I would take: my laptop, my interface, my SM7, a hard drive and a solar powered generator so it all worked.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I signed a record deal with Universal Motown at age 19 and my first publishing deal was at 16. I've been doing music professionally over half my current life!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is eclectic because I am a vocal and writing chameleon! In my professional career, I've had hits in pop, Country and synch music. I love bouncing around genres.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to write a song with Stevie Nicks, because she is the incredible Stevie Nicks.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If you feel in your gut you got a great take, you probably did. But I always do one extra take after I feel I nailed it- just in case.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Dance, Alternative, Rock, Country & Soul
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my vocal ability, as it enables me to record a diverse array of vocals as well as write unique, catchy and distinct melodies.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring energy, authenticity and experience to every song I write or perform. Having worked in the music industry for over 15 years, I have sharpened, proven hit writing skills and am an expert singer. I make sure that every song I write invokes emotion from the listener and connects with the audience listening to it. That's what music is all about.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Typically, I receive a track from a producer and we discuss the direction for the song. Next, I create a "topline" (lyric and melody) to the track. Then I sing the entire song down in a voicenote, with the track in the background. If needed, I will do one round of edits. After the edits are done and the song is complete, I put the track in Logic, record vocals and backgrounds with plenty of adlib options and send it your way! I can also be hired just to sing a song already written by a client.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use Logic to record all vocals and my favorite mic of all tine: the SM7. I love the vocal sound an SM7 gets. I usually record vocals dry for clients, to ensure a client can get the exact sound they want in their production. I can morph my voice toward many different tones and sounds from belting high notes to singing softly to Pop to Rock to R&B to Country to EDM & beyond!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am very inspired by Kara Dioguardi's songwriting and business savvy. I also am a massive fan of Sia's, as I feel her toplining abilities are among the best in the world. Ryan Tedder is a big inspiration to me too, since he both writes for other artists and has an artist career of his own.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am a songwriter who frequently "toplines" to tracks, writing the melody and lyrics for a song. I also sing the lead vocals and usually compose and perform harmonies as well! I record all my vocals at home and do some comping. I am an expert vocal arranger and producer, as many of my vocal arrangements have appeared on hit songs and in TV shows, commercials and in movies.
