Cream Blade on SoundBetter

I've been making electronic and pop music for 10 years. Releases in world class top labels like NCS or Liquicity as an artist and producer and working directly with top tier Spanish pop artists and songwriters. Combined +10.000.000 plays across all platforms 🥇

Multi-instrumentalist since I was 6. Being able to play Piano, Flute, Guitar, Bass, Percs, arrange orchestral sections via MIDI, strings, winds...

I released my songs in top EDM labels like NCS or Liquicity among others, collecting millions of plays from platforms like Youtube or Spotify. I also have been composing, writing, arranging, editing, mixing and mastering music for many other artists in the Spanish and international scene. 💽

My main goal is to achieve the mood, vibe and feeling you want to have on your song, writing emotive chords, powered bass lines or cutting edge melodies. Then choose the instruments you want to have and produce / mix out of it to get you a professional product in super quick time.

✅ I can produce, mix and master finished songs in less than 1 WEEK if we get to work hard and make a deal.
✅ I'll give you FREE corrections for you to change anything you don't like on the FINAL demo.
✅ Prices are estimated in the list and can change depending on the product, but they're gonna be quite close to that. We can negotiate your budget more in depth if you need.

Been working on Game Audio lately too, designing sounds on platforms like Soundly, composing and selling music and taking the audio lead for projects like Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, which will release early 2024! 🎮

Interview with Cream Blade

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My own project I have to say. The Cream Blade one. We did millions of plays and thousands of fans are now enjoying and texting me like "I have such a good time with your music". That means the whole world to me. Is our more powerful tool :)

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Couple of producing+mixing tracks here and there and on my own music of course, always.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not yet. I hope I will soon!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. Always digital. More possibilities, analog modelling is more than enough for achieving those nostalgic textures you want. But if you ask me for digital? Creative and technical posibilites are endless. Way more worth it, for my own opinion and experience.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: You will find what you wanted or we will find something you didn't know you wanted. One for sure, maybe even both of them.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Creative process and having fun.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Do you want to propose any idea for this track before we start? Answer is always of course, I'm already thinking about it.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: If you are an electronic music producer, like a "DJ?". Do you even know how to write songs? Or just mix, mash-up???...

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: Do you know what you want exactly? Or do you want to play? Do you want to sound like any artist you like? Which one? How much time do we need? Should we go straight to the point?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: I'm always open to experiment, deliver and iterate, all times that we need to find the perfect song. If needed, we loop it again, every time. We will find what you want always. And even better: you will find what you didn't know you wanted.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Macbook, headphones, Osmose controller, a microphone, any, and a knife, for coconuts. Does that count as gear?

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I started playing instruments in classical music training when I was 6. Since then, and since I started to write and produce music when I was 18, it has been a non stop of learning and hard working, going through an immense variety of genres and styles.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Experimentally mainstream.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Skrillex. Definitely. His creative process, endless new approaches and ideas, how he evolves and the immense powerful sound he reaches when producing and mixing.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Never reject an idea. The best ones will come by flooding and pushing hard the ones that fast and first come out of your creative depths.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Mostly electronic related, and specially bass. But as I told, I love to make pop as well, and all of the derivates we can find nowadays within mainstream music, but always approaching it with a solid and unique point of view, always based on experimental, creative sounds and harmonies. My harmony-based process of writing would be one of the thing to differentiate my music from any other.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Writing music. As it is. Composing ideas from scratch and turning them into a totally different result, as many times as I want or need, until I reach what I or my clients want and deserve. Also, I would say speed and workflow, being able to finish songs fast with the best sound quality possible also in the mixing process.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Expertise, electronic touches and writing/composing skills for melodies and harmonies. Having a classical music background and piano skills and love sound design and hard hitting grooves and bass/synth lines, makes the perfect combo for reaching unknown spots in the melodical / harmonical perspective of a "bass" based now musician.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: For the creativity, I love to start ideas with some weird sound or texture and build on top of that. Normally, when I'm ready and found a solid idea I want to develop, all of the things I did in the beginning of the process are already gone by that time and I develop the hook and the main theme or groove from a totally new perspective, which came to me by pushing my creative process and forcing ideas flow constantly. That's why I am also able to finish songs I made from scratch in the same day literally, mixing and mastering included, as I mix while I develop a song.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I have been developing my studio for a lot of years now, my to-go things are my macbook pro with Ableton Live and my favourite plug-ins: Fabfilter's, Soundtoy's, Soothe, Shaperbox, Waves and UAD bundles, and my ready to rock synths for sound design, specially Serum. I go with a pair of KRK speakers and Audio Technica headphones for the monitoring, depending on my needs. KRKs for producing, Technicas for mixing image stereo, sub bas, etc... I also have a variety of controllers and synths I love to play with as I am a long run piano player now.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: My main inspiration has been always people like Porter Robinson inside the dance scene or Justin Bieber or Kanye West outside of it, because of the level of experimentation they present every time they show a new work.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I've been producing electronic music for almost 10 years now, and after going through all different genres inside the dance industry, I have been focusing in drum and bass as a speciality for the most recent years. Due to the sound design and mixing knowledge you need to produce and mix this genre, I've encountered many clients, from pop to electronic, who benefit themselves out of my deep skill set from mastering the dance scene. I love making of course dance music, but I have even more fun writing and mixing for pop, R&B, soul, acoustic and hip hop, with electronic touches and textures and hard hitting bass lines or ethereal and experimental synth lines.
