Interview with Sergio Bigotta
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I had the pleasure to work with Silke, pro British session singer and think She is really focused on the composer's vision for a song.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock, Pop, Indie, Fusion
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Keep an Artistical mood on delivering the best product possible.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Mainly 2 things: I feel that every song is like a movie and when I play I use visual idea to convey the emotional feeling of the song. I don't think only as a Guitarist but also like a Musician and studio producer so I keep a complete view when playing without overhelming the sound.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Every song is different, I normally record different tracks to expand the song impact, leaving to the customer the opportunity to choose if use all or a portion of it.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I've a small Home Studio with Daw on Logic Pro and Ableton Live use Akai controllers and Yamaha, Apogee interfaces and M-Audio Speakers. I have industry standard plugins to cover Mix and Mastering needs like: Waves Chris Lord-Alge series plug ins, Abbey Road TG mastering, Manny Maroquin, Arturia. On the amplification side I use Marshall Code 50, Line 6 HX Stomp XL (with multiple IR)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I like the groove sound of Quincy Jones, Nile Rodgers, John Coltrane, Steve Vai, Andy Timmons
