I'm an experienced songwriter, producer, vocalist, and guitarist. I'm here to help polish your sound into a professional recording, while retaining your song's intimacy and soul.

I'm a listener. I want to hear about your vision for your song. I can help you bring it to life by writing and recording both electric and acoustic guitar, writing lyrics, singing backing vocals, creating textural mood, or mixing.

As a musician myself, I know how difficult it is to find the right person to work with. I will work exceptionally hard to help you achieve the sound you're hearing in your head. Your experience level is not a factor, no project is too small. And if I'm not the right person for your project, I'll be honest about that. Bringing out the emotion of a song is important to me. Striking a balance between an emotionally powerful and moving track, and one that's commercially viable is what I strive for.

If you have a demo and would like it filled out with lush instrumentation and mixed, I can do that. If you only need certain instruments recorded or are just in need of mixing, I can do that. If you are starting from square one, I can also help you with that. I work out of my secluded home studio in the Santa Cruz Mountains, so if you're in the area, getting in the room together is also a possibility.

Indie rock, indie folk, americana, and alt-country are my wheelhouse. If you would like to hear more samples of my writing style, mixing, and production, simply search "Emory Duncan" on any streaming platform.

I had so much fun working with Emory!! As someone still very new to the music production process, Emory was very kind and patient when I didn’t understand or had questions. His mixing and mastering took my song from average to beautiful, and I cannot thank him enough. I’d work with Emory again in a heartbeat !

Emory has the type of ear for music that reminds you of those quiet but powerful reflective moments when you are hiking through a beautiful forest surrounded by nature. He is nothing short of a phenomenal musician and producer who takes an idea or feeling inside a songwriter's head and is able to bring it to life. I feel very grateful to have come across him through this platform and am incredibly excited to continue to work with him on my indie folk album. He is a dedicated and diligent artist!

Emory exceeded my expectations, both from a 'great to work with' perspective and from a 'made this song 1,000x better than my constant effort and research to mix it myself' perspective.

Emory was so easy to work with. He worked hard and patiently to understand exactly my goals, and he did a great job reflecting my creative vision. He was also willing to fold in his artistic creativity when I asked for it, and he added so much.

    I can't recommend Emory enough!!!
