A: Both — I use analog gear for its warmth, saturation, and unpredictability, but combine it with digital tools for control and precision. The magic is in blending the two!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask what emotion they want listeners to feel, which reference tracks resonate with their vision, and whether they lean more toward lo-fi character or polished indie clarity.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Translating an artist’s vision into a cohesive, emotional mix. I’m skilled at retaining the authenticity and imperfections that give music character, while making it sound professional and release-ready.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My hybrid studio is built around analog character and modern precision. I use Pultec-style EQs, optical and FET compressors, tape machines, and cassette decks to introduce warmth and movement, paired with high-end converters and monitoring for accuracy. It’s designed to give your music a nostalgic edge with modern clarity.
