Drawing from a wide and diverse spectrum of influences, I blend steady, disco-infused grooves with a plethora of both live and electronic instrumentation including ambient synthesisers, pulsing electric piano and layered vocal stacks to create my own brand of sunny bedroom pop, designed to be both minimalistic and euphoric in equal measure.

Music has served as a constant source of joy and fulfilment in my life. I started taking classical music lessons when I was 5 years old. I played the piano, cello and tuba throughout my school years whilst also performing in a range of ensembles, choirs and close-harmony groups. I began making my own music on garageband at 15 and immediately became hooked. The freedom of expression and room for experimentation that was afforded by the software became the most appealing factor; although I had always enjoyed and been motivated by my classical pursuits, this new sense of individualism and creative autonomy was instantly refreshing, and I haven’t stopped experimenting since. I upgraded to logic pro at 18 and began posting remixes and covers onto Soundcloud soon afterwards under the moniker ‘Tuff Bear’, a play on words based on a favourite childhood story. I began writing my own music at 19 and, during the first lockdown, released my first original song, ‘Easier Now’ onto Spotify in May 2020. I have since been working on my first EP, ‘Tuff Bear’s Picnic’ which I released on Acrophase Records, an independent record label in America. I would describe my music as alternative pop.
