Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Music transcends format. If music's good, it doesn't matter.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I will always be honest with you. No BS.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Meeting new people and making songs that people love. No better feeling.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: Usually relating to logistic elements of the project, for example, can I have the raw stems? Can I have this project finished by x, etc.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: Specifically about toplining: that it is easier than producer, if it's easier then you're doing it wrong haha.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: What references do you have for this project? What is the deadline? Do you want to pitch this to a particular artist/company?

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Be honest and upfront about what you want and make sure the provider is HONEST with you. I care about the project being something we're both proud of.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Honey, if I'm on a desert island, I'm not gonna be worried about bringing an outboard compressor lol.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I have been doing this professionally for over 12 years now.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Fun!

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: I would love to work with Doja Cat and Kehlani

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Like I said before, each element of a track should be memorable/be a hook and they have to fit in each other's pocket.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I usually do pop, but I have worked in RnB, HipHop, Rap, Rock, Dance, Techno, Electronic etc..

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: I would say my strongest skill is melody. This doesn't limit me to just songwriting or toplining though, my approach with production is that each element of the track should be a hook, as well as the vocals.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I bring a fresh perspective, having worked in so many different genres and in many commercial settings, I draw from a huge pool of different experiences. I'm also super open to learning, I believe I've gained so much from the people I work with.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I have a briefing with the artist/client I'm working with, I learn their objectives for the project - references, requirements, specifications etc. I usually do a rough sketch of the project to outline the overall journey. Then I go into individual elements and work to get each one perfect.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: I have a powerful Apple Mac, a variety of mics (Neumann, Shure, Rode), a big catalog of soft synths and in-the-box mixing tools.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: I have had the privilege of working with some super influential producers in the K-Pop genre. I have also worked very closely with artists, writers and producers from Universal Music, Warner Chappell and Disney.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I have a wide range of experience, so I find myself completing different types of projects all the time. I originally started as a track producer covering multiple commercial genres, I then began working as a topliner and now I feel equally comfortable in both fields.
