    Arild possesses a musicality that as a musician you want from a producer. In addition, he has a technical insight which means that as a composer you can focus fully on the artistic side. And by the way, he is the world's most humble and patient guy.

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: I’ve been writing songs and recording since my teenage years. 20+ years recording.

  3. Q: How would you describe your style?

  4. A: Like a campfire. Calm, sparkling, warm and glowing.

  5. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  6. A: Keep your DAW session organized.

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: Melodic pop music. I love the blend of acoustic and electronic instruments. I love corky sounds appearing like The Flaming Lips or David Bowie do so brilliant.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: Knowing my equipment gives me a fast workflow. I put my heart into every session and my high level of empathy is my driving force for making any song shine.

  11. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  12. A: I am a very humble person and respect every artists expression. I will bring ideas to the table, usually additional phrases from a synth, guitar or a choir.

  13. Q: What's your typical work process?

  14. A: Before any knob is touched, I focus on what the artist wants to achieve. Whats the story? How was the song written? Witch elements are important to bring forward and what sounds/tracks should be the focus in driving the song?

  15. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  16. A: I have a 500-rack setup with various pres and comps and everything happens through my UAD Apollo 8. I do most mixing and mastering ‘in the box’.

  17. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  18. A: Warren Huarts youtube channel is varied, packed with exceptional information about how to approach mixing. I also love the work of Brian Eno, Andrew Scheps among so many others..

  19. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  20. A: Recording/tracking and Mixing. Additional instruments, if required.
