Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My hit Perfect Exceeder which was #3 in 2007 and now in 2023 got reworked into a Bass track called "Counting" -which was a hit on Beatport and 2 million streams and counting on Spotify!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Shhh top secret stuff with a big DJ :-) coming soon
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog baby. My first record was on 2 inch tape. But digital is what we do now so :-)
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I really want you to be happy so I promise to do what I can to that end.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Is it a job???
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Any ideas on the theme of the song? What do you want from this collab? I want to do your vision!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Would there be electricity? Lol
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started my record label in the 90s. Sooooo.... a long time!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Compress your vocals!!! Make them crunchy, that's what I like.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Electronic or hip hop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Rapping and lyricism.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I add banger sauce!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First I panic and think I will never come up with anything good :-) Then I calm myself down and get to work!! I listen to the track over and over and try to channel inspiration from the universe...sometimes the idea will come in the middle of the night if I am lucky. Otherwise I sit and try things and then have to do a lot of editing. I am a perfectionist and always want to deliver the best!

A: Neumann U87 microphone, Neve Preamp into Ableton Live.

A: Missy Elliot, Pharrell, David Bowie and thousands more :-)
