I am a composer based out of Nashville, TN. I have been consistently writing for independent films and games since 2018 as well as underscore for Television networks including Discovery, Oxygen and Sci-fi. My focus and strengths include hybrid orchestration for the sci-fi, horror and thriller genres, but I have experience in a wide range of moods and settings. I have received a few film fest award nominations and won best original score in 2022 for the thriller short "Family Gone".

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I had a lot of fun working on Agent 54. The time constraints played into my creativity and it was nice to be nominated for best original score

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: A Horror film, a puzzle game and a boxing game

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Both. You should always be open to utilize any tool available

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: I am easy to work with and will always utilize my talents to their fullest to help make their project the very best it can be.

  10. A: I love to create. It's a wonderful feeling to get inspired by someones project, dream up an idea and hear it come to life

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: Mostly about my rates and ability to replicate the temp track or music in their head. It depends on the project

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: The length of the final song reflects the time to create it. Clients often don't understand that a 30 second piece of music could take 5 hours to 5 days to write, record and produce

  16. A: What is your vision for the end product What are your non-negotiables Where can you compromise What is your budget What is your timeline

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: It's important that the creator share your vision and that they are personable

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: Acoustic Guitar, Drum set, Flute, Cello, French Horn

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: It began as a writer and guitarist for an alternative rock band and grew to include writing for film and games

  24. A: Cinematic and Ethereal with driving rock undertones

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: Danny Elfman or Grant Kirkhope. I appreciate that they both also have a rock/pop background and how it adds a unique imprint on their compositions.

  28. A: Map out your project with reference tracks before you dive in

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: My experience as a rock guitarist and pop song writer for over a decade adds a unique flair to my compositions that other, more classical composers might not conceive.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: In depth project discussion with client. Create a stripped down demo of the main theme. Collaborate and edit until we are in agreement on sound and direction. Compose each cue/theme one at a time with collaboration and adjustments in between. Add full production once entire film or game has been scored. Mix, Master and deliver

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: Home studio working in protools with numerous plugins, sample libraries and effects. If the project budget permits, I can outsource mixing and live orchestra/instrumentalist recording sessions.

  40. A: Danny Elfman, Bjork, Martin O'Donnell, John Carpenter, James Newton Howard, John Williams
