Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: Alessia Cara. We were part of the intiial team that created her demos. It was our demos that helped her get her major label deal. It was on of our songs HERE that got her a first #1 on Billlboard. We also helped her in studio and for live performances. We were producers/songwriters and also some A&R in the early stages of her career.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: indie projects, kpop. SEA artists, kids

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: To show up and do provide what we do best.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Meeting new creatives and their art. It's always inspiring to hear new sounds and we are always learning from the people we meet.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: How do you continue to stay relevant? Adapting and growing and with the next generation.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That writing or producing a great song is enough. There is more work and investment needed in marketing and promoting.

A: Is their a deadline? What would you like accomplish?

A: Let us help you.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Acoustic guitar, Logic Pro, Macbook Pro, Komplete Kontrol Keyboard, and the latest Iphone.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: We started as artists then learned to produce during the Neo Soul era. Being in the studio with Erykah Badu for her debut album. Seeing one of our biggest inspirations walking in the studio was enough to fuel our dream to be in the music industry. We have had a steady career with our first top 10 single back in 2001. Our still on the charts today.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: melody infused pop/r&b/soul creating an emotional connection.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: Bruno mars. He's a the perfect blend of Pop and R&B.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Keep it simple so that song and vocals stand out.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Mostly pop, r&b, soul and all sub within those genres.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Staying open to all creative ideas but a steady hand guiding with focus to achieve efficient and lasting results.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: We bring an experienced ear and great melodies and concepts and lyrics making sure we land on songs that can shine and our unique.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: Writing a song first keeping the production simple. Chipping away and revising until it feels solid. then producing and reproducing if necessary.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: apollo x8p, genelec speakers, LA-610 pre amp, distressor, big knob. 0b-6, mellotron, korg minilogue, komplete kontrol, TLM mic, Slaight Mic, Guitars and a whole lot of plugins.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: We are huge fans of max martin, cirkut, jon bellion, the weeknd, drake, bts and black pink and the neptunes.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: Our passion is in developing artists, songwriters and producers. We do consultations full time and love to provide our industry knowledge to help you get to the next level.
