Interview with KAB Mastering
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both : analogue is good, digital is good to, each has its advantages and disadvantages. plug-ins cost less haha L'Ibride !
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Every day the music is different, listening to music is great, discovering artists! and when it's time for the master's, making choices quickly by feeling, that's what works.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I learnt a lot on my own as a self-taught audio engineer, and then I was trained in the studio by engineer Christophe Chapelle, Carl Craig's mastering engineer.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: The fewer treatments, the better the result !
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: As an audiophile, I listen to a lot of music every day, in different genres, so I know in advance what it should sound like
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Tycho inspires me a lot, we have the same taste and musical references, boards of canada, aphex twin and i feel that in his music. I like his music, i'd love to master one of his sounds one day haha :)
