Interview with Aftermath Sounds
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My latest EP, "Nova Aurora", is one of the most proudest project I've ever worked on. I was the main producer for the project but I have gave a friend of mine known as Ethan F. an opportunity to help me out with the project. He was the saxophone player for the track "Nightmare" in that EP.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: At the very moment I have just now completed a new track that'll soon be releasing the the public.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love the progress of the job. The way the process goes for a track is such an amazing and a great accomplishment feeling when you finally finished a track you were eager to upload to the public and finally being able to share your hard work to the fans and community.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception is the amount of time that I create tracks. When I finish a track quickly, it may seem that I have put minimal effort into the track, but truthfully, when I feel that the track is right and I enjoy the way it sounds, it'll be finished right on the spot.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I ask these specific questions of the following: What type of music genre are you creating? What is the feel of the music? Is there a specific way you need the melody, bass, or beat? What's your overall goal for this track?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: My advice would be don't expect it to be the best first try. It takes time for a producer to find the right sounds. Always be patient and correct the producer if something seems off about their creation for your project.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been creating music since 2021 as a beginner. Overtime, I've improved the skills of making melodies and going off creating the bass for the melodies to create a masterpiece of a track or album.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I like really energetic and happy style music. I can use full potential on this specific style as I have worked on a lot of energetic tracks.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with WRLD as his electronic music has gave me hope in becoming a great artist for anyone that enjoys electronic dance or even New Age. The amount of power that a song would have with us could be record breaking if we worked together.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Take your time on your projects. You'll have ups and downs and it can be stressful at times when you don't have certain ideas for your project. Remember, music is not supposed to be perfect, always share and have second opinions for your improvement as an artist.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work on mostly electronic music but I can use real-time instruments and add them to an electronic based song to have a more realistic feel to a song.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is working together as a team in order to complete a project.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring energetic or very calm feeling to a song by using slow melody and relaxing bass or a very electronic dance feeling with more faster pace bass and fast melodies.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My work process is very simple, you tell what you want for your production and I'll create you samples of it and any ones you enjoy the most I'll make it a full version of.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have been inspired by WRLD from Monstercat. Their sounds and beats inspired me to create my own for the community of music!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I can provide melodic beats for their lyrics. I can also provide bass or melodies to fit their need in their project.
