Classically trained Iranian cellist with a bachelor’s in performance and diverse background in multiple genres. Also trained in Iranian music, virtuoso Tanbour player and multifaceted singer.
I am a cellist, tanbour player, and singer from Iran who recently moved to LA before residing in Washington, DC for 15 years. I am deeply passionate about connecting with artists from all genres to expand my knowledge about music. Aside from being classically trained as a cellist, I have had the honor of performing with artists such as Sting, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and Patti Labelle. I have also collaborated with musicians from the Silkroad Ensemble where I gained ample knowledge about world music and working with musicians from across the globe, both with cello and tanbour. Other than being an instrumentalist, I greatly enjoy singing and have been trained in Iranian music singing but have explored other genres as well. All the experiences I have had as a musician have given me a great ear and a fast learning pace that I can apply to any musical environment. I am excited to meet musicians in the area and grow my music community even more!
