Interview with Du Matriix
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Please check out a very talented and genius Alex Larichev Ghost Producer, from Los Angeles.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I worked on a project of a local artist named Sevinmark, it was almost three years ago during COVID-19 and we collaborated on his project as I had no hope in the music industry during that period and I am so great full till this day that he gave me a chance and I delivered, I am so proud of myself . My role on his project was being a music producer/composer.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: At the moment I am working on a new remix that will be released anytime soon for free streaming on digital music streaming platforms such as SoundCloud and YouTube/YouTube Music.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I will choose digital. Analog has less pure data than digital. With digital there is less interference, less noise, less distortion, better signal to noise ratios, and all of those technical stuff. Digital is the most accurate way of recording sound and composing.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise that I will deliver what you have asked and a very good and quality service with good prices.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: My job is my talent and dream job, I don't get stressed when working and actually is therapeutic.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: >When can I expect the project to be done? ANSWER: Just before a week end I will be done with your project. >What are your prices range? ANSWER: On my bio those are my prices but willing to negotiate.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: One common misconception about me or what I do is that my calm demeanor in high-pressure situations means I am not assertive. In reality, my ability to remain composed allows me to think clearly and make strategic decisions swiftly.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: >What genre and sub genre do you do? >Tell me a little bit about your vision on this project? >What are the most important projects you are currently working on? >What are your expectations on having good customer service?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: My advice to you is to never change your mind and stay dedicated to what you believe I can provide for you.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: MY Laptop, MIDI Keyboard, Headsets, Hard drive and extra Laptop Battery.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: My career path was to be a well known talented music producer and a dj. I have been doing this for the past 8 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My music style is more of emotional but dance type of style, a music that every person can relate with when listening to my music without any cultural, race, believe background discrimination.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with the music genius Da Capo. Because he has been in the music industry as long as I can remember when I was still in lower grade in High School, he has shown that dedication, hard work, patience and believing in yourself will soon one day pay. He worked with so many music genius, the likes of Black Coffee, Jackie Queens to name a few. His music skills and production is unmatched and his good ear of music.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Lol easy. Use your ears primarily, then your eyes.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on House Music and its sub genres.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
