
Tommy Bianchi is one of the most important italian mastering engineer. More than 100K music tracks mastered for the music busic business in 20 years. Specialized in audio mastering optimization for the vinyl transfer, Tommy is skilled in analog audio mastering.
Tommy Bianchi begin his professional activity as audio mastering engineer in 2006, after many years spent as a musician and music producer. Tommy actually works in his music studio placed in the wonderful contryside of Florence, Tuscany, Italy. In few years, he released hundreds of collaborations working for many artists as mastering and mixing engineer. To date he has mastered more than 100K music tracks for the music industry and business.
Tommy works with top class mastering grade analog gear, converters and loudspeakers, he is specializaed in electronic music, pop music, hip-hop and rap music, urban and trap music, jazz music, rock music, folk music, acoustic music.
Tommy offers twenty yeras of experience and high technical ability accompanied by great musical sensitivity in audio mastering for digital distribution, CD and Vinyl.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Jazz and pop music vinyl albums
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: hybrid is the best choice. DIGITAL COMPLEMENTS THE LIMITS OF ANALOGUE AND ANALOGUE COMPLEMENTS DIGITAL.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Save terrifying sounding mixes
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How much might it costs an album mastering? Not cheap, I'm one of the last sound quality craftsman.

A: Mastering ever can correct mixing mistakes

A: Jazz, electronic music, house, techno, pop, acoustic, drum'n'bass, urban, hip hop, rap, rock, classical
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Vinyl cutting optimization
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Depth, 3D sound, musical frequencies balance, glue, warm, sculpted details, de-harsh and de-muddy sound, satin and smoothed high frequencies, hi and low end shaped, high loudness.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My typical work process is to eleiminate every harsh or muddy frequencies from the mix in order to rebalance e redistribute energy at the sound where is needed. High LUFS loudness values as mastering result is not a problem.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: The studio setup is based on hi end mastering grade analog outboards as Maselec, Thermionic Culture and Manley, Lavry MX 122 HD, Lavry Blue and Lynx converters. Pro Tools Ultimate in HDX domain iks the DAW. I often use some audio digital plugins for a very effective hybrid mastering session as Fab Filter, Ozone, Acustica Audio, Eventide and more.
