Dolby Atmos Mixing & Mastering

Westward Immersive on SoundBetter

Atmos mixes for every genre that always puts the artists' sound and intent first. A 7.1.4 studio with Focal monitoring and Apogee conversion. Fast, clear communication. Mastering-friendly deliverables for Apple Music and beyond.

Hi, I’m Mike. I run Westward Immersive, a 7.1.4 Atmos room in Long Beach. I’m a bassist and mix engineer, Berklee grad, and I’ve studied mixing and mastering with Jonathan Wyner, Alejandro Rodriguez, and Richard Mendelson. I’ve lived in music my whole life, from recording SoCal bands on a Boss BR-8 in the late 90s, to sessions at Surf City Studios, to founding the hardware company Vermilion Audio.

When I first heard early Dolby Atmos mixes, I knew they could change how artists create and how listeners connect. That is the bar I work twards on every project.

What you get:
Dolby Atmos mix in ADM BWF + binaural render + stereo downmix
Tasteful movement, and real space. My priority is to make sure your Atmos mix translates just like your stereo mix.

Typical flow:
You send the stereo mix and individual bounced tracks (stems also fine, but can limit what we can do)
First pass in 3 to 5 days with notes
Two revision rounds included, quick turnarounds

Deliverables:
ADM BWF (for Apple Music, Amazon Music, others)
Binaural MP4
Stereo downmix

Rates:
Single: $400 to $700 per song based on stem count and edit needs - I spend at least a full day on every song.
EPs and albums are quoted as a package with a discount
Add-ons: rush +25%, stem printing +$100

Great musical fits:
Indie pop, alt, soul-leaning pop, cinematic vibes, live in-studio sets.
