Interview with Polyphonia Studio
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital because it is just less complicated for us and that we know.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How does the production process work? Every project starts with a conversation. We want to understand your style, goals, and references. Once we agree on the direction, we start building the musical foundation and share progress along the way. You’ll receive regular updates and have opportunities to give feedback until the track is fully mixed, mastered, and ready for release. How long does it take to finish a song? It depends on the complexity of the project. A full production can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. we prefer taking the time to make sure the result feels right, polished, powerful, and aligned with your vision. It's typically between 4 to 6 weeks, but can be more in some cases. Can I be involved in the process? Absolutely. Collaboration is key. You can be as involved as you want, some artists like to co-create every detail, others prefer to give me creative freedom. Either way, we make sure you feel confident at every step. What genres do you work in? We specialize in electronic music, especially melodic techno, house, afro house, and electronic pop, but we love exploring new directions. My approach adapts to your style and personality. Can you mix or master my existing track? Yes. Whether it’s a track you’ve already started or a finished session that needs improvement, We can take your project to a professional level while keeping its original energy intact. How much does it cost? Pricing depends on the scope of your project, full productions, mixes, or consulting sessions all vary. After discussing your needs, we’ll provide a clear estimate with flexible options depending on your budget and goals. Can you help me improve my sound or teach me how to produce better? Definitely. I also offer personalized coaching and training sessions to help producers and artists improve their sound design, arrangement, or mixing skills.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What’s the story or emotion behind your track? Every great song starts with a feeling, We want to understand the message you want to share. What artists, songs, or sounds inspire you? References help me align with your creative direction and sonic expectations. What stage is your project at? Are we starting from an idea, a demo, or a full session that needs improvement? What’s your goal for this song? Is it meant for release, a label submission, a live performance, or personal growth? How involved do you want to be in the process? Some artists love to co-create every step, others prefer me to take the lead and both approaches work. Do you have a timeline or specific deadlines? This helps structure the workflow and ensure quality without rushing. What does “perfect” sound like to you? This one often reveals the essence of their artistic identity.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: When choosing a producer, don’t just look for technical skills. Look for chemistry, communication, and shared vision. A great production starts with connection. You need someone who truly listens to your ideas, understands your sound, and can translate your emotions into music. Ask yourself: Do they understand my artistic direction? Do they make me feel comfortable sharing ideas and feedback? Do they have a clear process and attention to detail? Experience matters, but so does vibe too. The right producer will not only polish your track, but help you discover and define your sound. In short: choose someone who treats your project like it’s their own. That’s how real artistry, and long-term collaboration begins.
