Hi! I'm Leo, a full-time pianist and music producer based in Barcelona. With 25 years of experience, I’ve had the pleasure of recording and producing for renowned artists and global brands, as well as collaborating with hundreds of musicians around the world. I specialize in Neo Soul, Pop, Jazz, Afro House, Lofi...
You can hire me for: backing piano for your vocals, piano covers of your favorite songs, advanced harmonization for your jazz compositions, sick Rhodes chords for your R&B or Neo Soul track, adding synths, bass, or pads to your electronic productions (Techno, House, Trap…), juicy licks and riffs to enhance your blues or rock songs, or full track arrangement and production — including high-quality analog mixing and mastering.
My musical education includes jazz, classical, modern and electronic music, along with training in production, mixing and mastering. I’ve completed over 2,000 remote sessions, and over time I’ve become one of the most in-demand musicians across major platforms.
Feel free to drop me a message to check availability and pricing. I’ll ask you to send your material (demos, rough mixes, stems, etc.) along with a short brief — references always help! I don’t really limit revisions: if the brief is clear, you’ll probably nail it on the first go.
The average price for a piano arrangement is $220 (SoundBetter only allows $200 or $250).
I speak English, Spanish, and Italian.
Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Working with Leo was an absolute pleasure! He’s not only an incredibly skilled mixing and mastering engineer, he’s also a fantastic pianist with a deep musical sensitivity that truly elevates a song. The final mix he delivered sounds phenomenal: warm, clear, and emotionally spot-on. He instinctively knew what the track needed. Communication was always smooth and super friendly. Leo really goes the extra mile (on a SUNDAY!) and it shows. An 11 out of 10 in every way. Highly recommended!

Interview with Leo Music Design
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Nu Epoque, I just really liked the creativity of the band, the way the ideas flowed and the way we use to play live, with a lot of improvisation and risk. I was the producer, keyboardist and mix engineer.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Some personal projects called "Art.eria", "Leomode", "Jazz Doesn't Like You" and a lot as session pianist, mix and mastering engineer for many artists.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That you'll be 100% happy with the delivery. If you won't I have no problem in keep working on it or cancel the order without charging anything... but in more than 1000 works done in Soundbetter and other platforms that never happened. ;)
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That is a creative one.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: - Is this work for hire and I'll be the only owner of the recordings? - Yes.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Is there any artist would you like your music to sound like? Would you prefer your music to be completely original and unheard instead?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Try to look for references for the piano/production style that you would like to incorporate in your music. Be as specific as possible in your requests.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Elaquent, Stimming, Kaytranada because they're my favourite producers and I would learn a lot. Also I would like to produce music for artists like Solange, Bjork... because you have to be very creative and experimental.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Here in Soundbetter: Pop Songs, Piano Cover, Electronic Tracks. In my other activities outside Soundbetter: Jazz, Neo Soul, Electronics.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I think it's the piano playing combined with my producer vision, my knowledge and experience about harmony and different type of music.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I carefully listen to the material that the client sends me, along with their references and instructions. Then, I create a chords chart and commence the production/recording process. I typically deliver the complete work directly to ensure the client has a comprehensive understanding. Occasionally, one or multiple revisions are needed to achieve the optimal result. However, in most cases, revisions are unnecessary. When required, I am available to accommodate all the revisions they need, as long as the communication remains coherent, and there are no changes in the client's direction or the material provided. Once the work is completed, we exchange public reviews as part of our collaboration.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Im my acoustically treated studio I work with an iMac connected to a Metric Halo sound interface (LIO8 and ULN2, hi quality A/D converters). I use a Nord Stage 3 piano and other midi controllers for Virtual Instruments (Spectrasonic, Spitfire, Native Instruments etc.). The studio is equipped with hi quality speakers (Klein and Hummel O300) and classic analog compressors: Manley Vari Mu, API2500...
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Eclectic
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Oliver for guitars, Shelley for vocals, I've been working nicely with them.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog for texture, character and color, digital for editing, organizing and controlling.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started studying piano at 6. Became a pro jazz musician at 18. Got into electronics and production at 24. Since then I've been making a living on music. I'm 40 now.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Whatever the client ask for filtered through my vision and style. I try to make things alive and organic, authentic.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Robert Glasper, Kiefer, Stimming, &Me, Kaytranada, Erykah Badu, Morricone, Einaudi...
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Piano arrangement for a song, backing piano for vocals, sometimes adding strings and other instruments. Piano covers.
