This was the second project I have worked on with Claud, as his enthusiasm for my music made me think he could help me develop a song I was a little bit stuck on. Claud very kindly played quite a few variations for me and again was on hand to listen to my song and offer ideas that were above the piano I asked him to do for me. I really enjoyed the final product and the process with Claud. He's a good communicator and wants to get the project right. I will give Claud a shout again soon.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work in my own home recording studio which is equipped with all the recording facilities that I would need to provide a professional recording. I play an 88 keys MIDI controller which I use extensively with Logic Pro and a large variety of virtual instruments.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: An orchestral epic arrangement
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: At the moment digital only , I would love to afford Analog, experience it and have the space for it.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: definitely an acoustic instrument , (would love a piano ) and the rest of the tools in order to make some great recordings )
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: There are too many artists that inspire me in different ways ,singer-songwriters , film composers , performers, multi-instrumentalists.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work I do is playing and recording the piano part of my client's songs.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: usually pop/rock/funk for my clients and I also work on film soundtracks and classical music orchestrations.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I would listen to the song a few times and get to know it well, and add the colours that I feel the song would need with my own style , emotion and technique.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Improvisation, playing by ear, arranging
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Being classically trained I have a broad musical and technical background. I have developed playing by ear from a very early age which had a huge advantage by learning songs much quicker, giving me more freedom and space for improvisation, inventiveness and creating my own interpretation, combining different styles of music.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Before I start working and recording a song or a project, the planing of it its very important to me. I will try to communicate as many appropriate and related questions to understand what the musician(s) I am working with are striving for and make sure we are on the same page. Once that is established I am working around the deadline and I always present beforehand few examples and ideas that the song could develop into.
