Interview with Alfredo Lopez Nieto

  1. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  2. A: I would take a midi controller, my computer, a condenser mic, a launchpad and a guitar. Taking into account that the wizard performs the spells, not the wand .

  3. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  4. A: Any producer/artist that wants to add to his/her production cool contemporary elements.

  5. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  6. A: At the moment we are working on several major label and independent projects.

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: That they consider that our way to produce music is completely professional, mixing our vision with the style and goals of the Artist.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: I consider that one of my strongest skills is the way my ears work, they are really developed. I have had the chance to work with great musicians and this has allowed me to gain experience and practice to know exactly what sounds contemporary and commercial.

  11. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  12. A: I like to bring elements that create a contemporary atmosphere, but for me the most important thing is to work side by side with the artist to achieve his particular musical style.

  13. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  14. A: I am really proud of my latest track that is called "Let me down" because it is a highly energetic song with a high energy tune, that also has a lot of classic instruments combined with cool contemporary sounds and some powerful synths that make all the sounds very unique.

  15. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  16. A: That it always challenges my creativeness and by being such a competitive area it also makes me overcome myself and evolved.

  17. Q: What's your typical work process?

  18. A: It all starts with a great song.

  19. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  20. A: Music Production, Songwriting and Video Production.

  21. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  22. A: Usually it's a mix of both.

  23. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  24. A: That they will have for sure what they want and more!

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: I really like to work with digital plugins like Serum and Nexus but the gear for me is just a tool. I think the most important thing is the actual person behind the gear in order to achieve unique records.

  27. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  28. A: Pop,Rock,Folk, Reggaeton, Latin and EDM.

  29. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  30. A: Alan Garcia from Suno Records, Kari Kimmel, ALOU, Arthur Pingray and Austin Leeds.

  31. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  32. A: I would recommend Alan Garcia from Suno Records, he is very profesional and such a cool guy.

  33. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  34. A: Listen to the best songwriters and producers but create your own style.
